Palingo now includes conversation practice built from the vocabulary you have already learned: you listen, pick words and speak aloud in lively real-life scenes built around the very words you studied in the app.
You learned the words — now how do you use them?
Many learners memorize plenty of vocabulary yet blank out when it is time to speak. The problem is rarely a weak memory. The words have only been "recognized", never "used". To make a word truly yours, you need to meet it again and use it in real sentences and real situations.
Conversations from the vocabulary you have learned

Each conversation is a scene with a clear setting. In "Pottery in the community", for example, you join a festival and ask PAL about the community's pottery.
The dialogue is built around the very words you studied, highlighted right in the lines so you see them in real context. A progress bar at the top shows how far along you are.
Three steps in every conversation
- 1

Listen and pick words
After hearing a line, you choose the words you caught from a list of options.
- 2

Fill in the missing word
Put the right vocabulary word into the blank in PAL's sentence, with a Vietnamese translation underneath so you understand the whole line.
- 3

Say it out loud
You play the person asking questions in the scene and read your reply into the microphone, again with a translation to keep the meaning clear.
Why does this help you remember longer?
Research on memory shows that actively recalling and using information (Active Recall) works far better than simply rereading it or peeking at the answer. When you listen, choose the word and speak the answer yourself, each word is tied to a context, a sound and a sentence you produced. The word is stored through more memory pathways, which makes it harder to forget.
A natural partner to spaced repetition
Conversation complements the Spaced Repetition (SRS) method Palingo already uses. SRS brings a word back right before you forget it, while conversation lets you use that same word in a real sentence. One keeps the word in memory, the other turns it into communication skill — the two support each other.
How to get started
Learn a few new words in Palingo, then open a conversation scene and tap "Start". You do not need to sound perfect from the start — listen, pick the words and say them aloud, and the vocabulary will soon feel familiar.
